Pearl Powder Masks for 3 Different Women

Hi everyone
I just want to have a quick word and share these 3 simple recipes made with Pearl Powder and simple things we can find in our kitchens. Just to be sure no one is left out, I made the recipes to cut across 3 age groups.
Most skin problems are common to every age but some are age specific and require a slight difference in treatment.

1-TEENAGERS – Egg Pearl Powder Mask

The problems here are Pimples, Acne, Eczema, Rosacea, etc.
You’ll need
Pearl Powder (buy from reliable source)
1 medium egg

How- Get yourself a small bowl and mix ½ teaspoon of Pearl Powder with the egg. Clean your face thoroughly and apply, leave on for about 30 minutes, then rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water. Do this at least twice a week.
OR
Substitute the egg white with milk and form paste. And basically do same thing.

2-MID-AGERS - Anti- aging Pearl Powder Mask

The problems here are numerous; Age spots, Wrinkles, Dark circle around eyes, Acne, Blemishes, Sun damages, ah! The list is endless.

You’ll need
Pearl Powder (I trust you’ll be careful where you get it from)
Aloe Vera juice
Camwood Powder (optional but highly recommended)
Witch Hazel

How- Mix ½ teaspoon of Pearl Powder with 1 teaspoon of Aloe Vera juice and 1 teaspoon of Witch Hazel. Please if you are going to add camwood Powder (a pinch is more than enough) increase the aloe Vera juice to form a slightly thick mixture. Apply to a clean make-up free face and neck and leave for twenty minutes, wash off with warm water.

3-OLDIES-Moisturizing Pearl Powder Mask
Dryness, Age spots, Wrinkles, Sagging skin, etc.

Get yourself
Pearl Powder (buy wisely)
Vitamin E oil
Honey

How-  In a small bowl put ½ a teaspoon of pearl powder and 2-3 drops of Vitamin e oil, Then a little milk and tiny honey to form a paste. Make sure your face is nice and clean, apply the mixture and wash off after 20 minutes with warm water, please remember to do this at least once a week.

I am sure you agree with me that they are simple enough. The main thing is for you to find them useful. I hope you do.
Once again thank you for reading.

Why These 10 Top Natural Skincare Brands Were Created.

Hello,

I hope you are all doing fine.

I cannot over emphasise the importance of being informed about your skincare products choices. With rising awareness of what you put into your body either internally as foods or externally as skincare products came the rise of many Natural Skincare Brands. Many of these brands have done it; they have broken the norm and proven that Natural Skincare can be sexy, glamorous and effective.

Here are 10 Top Natural Skincare Brands and the story of the people who created them:

1.    GREEN PEOPLE- You have to love this woman, I do. Her name is Charlotte Vohtz, she created Green People in 1997 because she was trying to find solution to her daughter’s eczema and severe allergies (I am sure every mother is going ‘Aww’). Her Principle is simply not to sacrifice product performance and ethical practice for profit. Charlotte also promised her customers never to use aggressive ingredients or synthetic chemicals in her products. I guess that is why Green people is doing great.

2.    JOHN MASTERS- This luxury natural beauty line is named after its creator. He said “John Masters Organics grew out of my desire to create a luxury beauty line that treats the earth with respect.” That is so touching, won’t the world be a better place if we all emulate that statement.
This man said a lot of really inspiring things about Natural Products and the dangers of Chemicals and synthetics we load into our body unknowingly. He urges us all to remember that we only get one body, and only one planet. We should treat both with utmost care.

3.    BAREFOOT- The beautiful story of this brand lies in its name. This name was inspired by ancient Chinese tradition of doctors who travelled from village to village without shoes, to bring natural remedies to the people. Now if that doesn’t pull at your heart string, you are made of harder stuff than I am.
They claim their products are developed by natural healthcare experts, specially formulated to bring together the science of skincare with the natural power of botanical extracts.

4.    THE ORGANIC PHARMACY- Another beautiful story from a woman named Margo who created this brand with the help of her husband Franco in London.  Margo is a trained Pharmacist with specialisation in herbal medicine but her light bulb moment came while studying homeopathy. She said and I quote:

Whilst studying homeopathy I became aware of Organic and what it meant. Shocked that I had been unaware of the level of poisonous pesticides used in our food and the questionable ingredients used in cosmetics, I decided to use my herbal, homeopathic and pharmaceutical knowledge to create a shopping haven free from chemicals found in other stores, a place where expert knowledge on wellbeing, herbs and homeopathic remedies were readily available. My principles were very simple, the best organic ingredients, honest expert advice, quality service, incredibly effective products and a caring environment. I took the idea to my husband Franco whose design skills and vision turned The Organic Pharmacy into a modern day health and beauty centre.”

Need I say more? This woman has it all covered.

5.    TATA HARPER- Named after the person behind the brand. Tata Harper grew up in Colombia and like most young girls she was into beauty products big time until a major event changed her life. Here is how she recounts the event:

My cabinets were always full of the latest and most luxurious lotions and creams but it wasn’t until my stepfather was diagnosed with cancer that I started to take a look at the ingredients that were in the products I used on my body every day. Upon doing a little research, I was shocked to discover they were full of potentially dangerous chemicals, some of which were carcinogenic (cancer causing)!”

Tata Harper said she began searching for 100% natural skincare line that will smell gorgeous, good texture, and performance but found nothing that will be as effective as the harmful ones she was used to. Being an entrepreneur and with a love for science, she went ahead and create her own brand.
I am sure most of us are careful about our choice of Skincare Products. But for those who aren’t, that is another reason to take action.

AMALA- The story here lies in the name, Founded by Ute Leube.  She loves the name ‘Amala’ because it has many unique meanings, and the harmony of all the names really strike something in her. As it did me.
Amala in Sanskrit means, “Most Pure.” In Tibetan means, “Revered Mother.” In Spanish means, “Love Her.”
Ute said “We believe that if we love and respect the earth as we would our own mother, nature will give us everything we need to look and feel beautiful.” Aww! That is almost like a poem, they should make a  bumper sticker with that.

7.    TRILOGY- This is a family story of  two New Zealand sisters (Sarah Gibbs and Catherine de Groot ) They found Trilogy in 2002 on the belief that, like themselves, people wanted to make more natural and ethical choices for their skincare, without having to sacrifice quality. A very accurate belief, in my opinion.

8.    ESTELLE & THILD- This Swedish Organic Skincare Brand is the brain child of Pernilla Ronnberg in 2007. The story is close to my heart because of the reason she gave for starting this brand. As a mother reflecting on the future of her daughters, Estelle and Mathilde and the world in which they would grow up. As the former CEO of a Nordic beauty company Pernilla became uncomfortably aware of the harmful chemicals and unnatural ingredients liberally used by many skin care brands. She wanted to develop an innovative skin care brand rooted in organic ingredients and sustainable technology with a feeling of luxury.
She did it, as this brand is not only popular in Scandinavian countries but across the globe.

9.    PAI SKINCARE- Sarah Brown launched this Brand in 2007 with a goal of creating the cleanest plant-based skin-care on the market, with a range of products formulated for people with very sensitive skin.
Sarah was inspired to create her brand after years of suffering from a bad skin allergy. She was advised by Doctors to keep taking high dose of anti-histamine on a daily basis as the only solution. She got fed up and went on a search to see if she can discover what the problem was. Here is what she said:
“I started researching all the products I used, to see if there were common ingredients triggering my attacks.
What I discovered shocked me:
·         Many chemicals used in skin care products can irritate the skin and cause allergies.
·         These toxins can build up in the body and have been linked to wider health problems.
·         Cosmetics companies use these chemicals because they are cheap and extend product shelf life.
·         Many leading natural skin care companies use the same chemicals or worse in their products while making misleading 'organic' claims.”
That is Sarah Brown’s story, what is yours? Share please.

10.  GOLDFADEN MD- Gary Goldfaden, M.D. is a practicing dermatologist, a decision he made after a bout with a serious skin problem during his first year of medical school.  He said he got frustrated by the dermatological products readily available for his patients’ skin issues. Won’t you just love to have him as your doctor?

He began seeking out alternative approaches including natural remedies and more potent, prescription-strength ingredients. His discovery led to the creation of this known and loved product line.

So these are their stories, what is yours? Please share your stories with us about your problems with skincare products or your reason for changing to Natural Skincare Products. We are all dying to hear from you.

Remember you can also make your Skincare Products yourself, check here for ingredients, and who knows yours might be the next success story being read by millions.

HOMEMADE CAMWOOD BODY SCRUB

Hurray! Summer is here.
My favourite time of the year, the sun shining is enough to make me go giddy with happiness. Why wont I be? The burden of layers of winter clothing being lifted off my shoulders is  a joyous occasion for me. But the multitude of skin issues hidden in winter will now come to the fore. So we need to get  clear those and  step into summer with flawless skin.
So here is something effective and easy to make. You don’t need loads of ingredients, it doesn't cost a lot, and it takes little time to make. So what are we waiting for?

Here are the ingredients you’ll need

  • Sugar- You can use brown or white. This is to exfoliate and get rid of those dead skin, making room for new ones to come to the surface. Make sure it is the really tiny grain ones though; we won’t want you tearing your facial skin.
  • Sweet Almond Oils-  A light non greasy option compare to some other oils, this will penetrate into your skin quickly and it is not as expensive as its counterparts.
  • Lemon Zest (Optional)- This will help removes impurities found in skin cells.
  • Lavender Essential Oil-  This is necessary because it is an effective treatment for dry and chapped skin. And it smells gorgeous.
  • Raw Honey-   This is a natural moisturizer, need I say more. That Honey is good for the skin is an issue that has been over thrashed. Make sure you use raw honey.
  • An Empty Jar- You need this to store your body scrub when done.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE

Measure and pour 200g sugar into a mixing bowl

Add 2 tbs of Camwood Powder to the Sugar and mix thoroughly

Add 2 tbs of Raw Honey, you might want to warm it a bit to make it easier to mix. Then mix ,
it might take a while but it will mix.

Then Add 60ml of sweet Almond Oil and 5-6 drops of Lavender Essential Oil. And mix again.

Now grate the lemon and add the zest to the mix, combine.

Scoop the mix into the empty jar.

This is your Amazing Camwood Body Scrub.

Now you have it. And summer just got better. Remember this is great for lips, face and the whole body.

Rub it into your  wet skin when in the shower or taking a bath and wash it off.

Piece of cake, right?

Catch you later!

4 ESSENTIAL RAW BODY BUTTERS

Hi Everyone,
I just want to quickly tell you about these 4 must have Raw Body Butters. They are great ingredients to have when making your Skincare and Haircare Products. Enjoy.

RAW SHEA BUTTER

RAW SHEA BUTTER-www.rukasplace.com

Organic Shea Butter is known for its skin softening and moisture retaining ability.  Raw Shea Butter is also known for its benefits in promoting healthy hair and scalp.

Thinking of Homemade Body Butter the first ingredient that comes to mind will most likely be Shea Butter, before considering the oil to add, flavour, fragrance and so on.

Most Natural skincare products use Raw Shea Butter as a base; making Shea Butter an essential ingredient in a lot of DIY skincare products.

We will talk more later on this Butter.

RAW MANGO BUTTER

MANGO BUTTER-www.rukasplace.com

Raw Mango butter is also very useful in Homemade skincare products; it has a high level of unsaponifiable fats and is also high in antioxidants.

A good Raw Body Butter for DIY Hair-care products because of its high level of fats and emolliency.

It is very similar to Cocoa Butter because it has a high content of Stearic Acid.

Many people prefer this Natural Body Butter to Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter because it is softer in texture and easy to mix when making products.

RAW COCOA BUTTER

Raw Cocoa Butter is one of the most stable fats known, a wonderful Natural Body Butter to use as a base in making DIY Beauty Products.

Cocoa Butter is essential because it contains natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity, apart from its numerous benefits to the skin.

.

RAW AVOCADO BUTTER

RAW AVOCADO BUTTER-www.rukasplace.com

Raw Avocado butter is very effective in soap making and skin-care products. Very essential when making Home-made face creams, Natural anti-aging Products, DIY Sunscreen Remedies.
This Raw Body Butter is a little heavy and greasy but a little go a long way as it has good spread- ability on the skin. Avocado Butter moisturizes damaged skin caused by sun or wind, and general chapping.

Raw Avocado Butter is a good alternative to Shea Butter as it is softer and without the strong earthy aroma of Unrefined Shea Butter.
